Darth Benedict hopes to ease anger of his fairly recent derogatory comments about Islam during his on again off again trip to Turkey.
Said Monsignor Luigi Padovese, the Pope’s vicar in Anatolia:
“The Pope will discuss the rights of the religious minority. In a secular country, people must have the right to believe in whatever faith they choose to believe.”
Monsignor Padovese underscored his comment by stomping on a turtle then eating a mushroom, growing twice his normal size. Cardinal Mario was unavailable for comment.
I am eager to hear the Pope’s comments on the rights of a religious minority and how he will try to implement such tolerance in a country like the US, where the majority status enjoyed by the Christians can often be linked to violence and intolerance.

It looks like he is going to do some damage control for his anti-muslim speak.
And the Vatican will be allowing that condoms are useful against the spread of the AIDs virus not just for undermining god’s sperm-drive.

Last I heard, the condom thing was still in debate, not to mention only for married couples where one of the partners has AIDS and the other doesn’t. So nice that the Church is coming into the 20th century.

Yes indeed. There is SO much violence perpetrated by the majority Christians in the US that the Pope should address it.
Now, back in the real world, just consider that if you labeled another prominent religion’s leader as “Darth,” you’d likely have a bounty on your head. There’s some real world religious violence for ‘ya.

I believe what I said was the majority status enjoyed by the Christians can be linked to violence, not that the majority of Christians are perpetrating it. Reading is fundamental, Hube.
