In 60 days, Alberto Gonzales will have no recollection of resigning his post.

Unsurprisingly, liberalgeek at Delaware Liberal posted it first!

Things are well, and there’s a lot of them vying for my time and brainpower. However, this was just too good to pass up.

It is something of a tradition for me to post some stupidity or another that is forced on the people of this world by the particularly thick mouth-breathers that constitute the most vocal of the religious idiots who, in their idiocy, tarnish the reputation of the smart and nice religious folks that constitute the majority of the faithful (inhale).

With that being said, I’d like to call your attention to this article which tells the story of an atheist fugginmoron couple who is suing the Texas Governor and a school district to abolish the moment of silence, as it “amounts to state-sanctioned school prayer.”

Let’s take a quick look at this: a respectful moment of silence is not in any way related to condoning prayer in school. The only link there is that some may use that moment to pray. When I was a teen, I had sex in my mom’s Ford Escort (uncomfortable), but most would be hard pressed to convict my mom of running a mobile brothel.

Just as there are crazy fanatics on the religious side, let this be a testament and clear reminder that we atheists have the same jack-assery on our side. We can all also take a moment to appreciate the irony that the people bringing about this lawsuit are exactly the type of people that could stand to take a moment to shut the fuck up.
